Riding Giants

Directed by Stacy Peralta, Riding Giants details the origins and history of surf culture from its humble beginnings in Hawaii, to the big business it became, and finally to the still-rebellious universe it inhabits today.

The Blind team provided the main title sequence as well as a two minute animated sequence illustrating some of the very early history of surfing in Hawaii and it’s introduction into mainstream culture.

Jet – Be My Girl

Ink pools that turn into hot girls dancing and skulls flying across screen. That was the cool concept that director Robert Hales conceived for this video.

There are 2 versions of this video– the official one that we created that won MTv’s VMA “Best Rock Video” and the unofficial version. You see, after nearly completing this video with another company, Robert Hales had second thoughts. We wasn’t entirely happy with the results. He gave us a call and asked us to make it better. Okay, so we weren’t his first choice, but we got over it. 2 weeks later and a few sleepless nights, we rebuilt the entire video and put a little Blind love into it adding nuanced animation in the flames, feathers and flowers.

Los Angeles Film Festival

These trailers were viewed by active participants of the Independent film community and reflect their film savvy with the integration of live action and motion graphics.

Establishing the mood and identity with an emotive color palette ranging from cool greens to fiery orange-reds, Blind focused on the moment, the reaction, that film provokes. In addition, an overall modular system was used to maintain a cohesive brand identity for the festival.
