Sid Jumala

Born & raised in the Lion City, Singapore, Sid studied design & motion principles under the tutelage of Charles Lee at Nanyang Polytechnic. Ever since young, he is fascinated by subculture, history, science fiction operas & animation. All of this grew on to his building and conjunction of planes, lines, constructivism & dark energy through motion.
Shortly after, he immediately went on to work & collaborate with many different design disciplines and creative forces such as CRITICA, Phunk Studio, Alvin Tan, Xavier Oon, Mindee Ong, Jed Tay, Singapore Armed Forces / MEDIA Committee, Infinite Frameworks, OgilvyOne Worldwide Singapore, IBM, CERTIS CISCO, Esplanade; Theatres At The Bay, The Singapore Zoo, Wildlife Reserves : International Year of Forests, AVALANCHE & Upsurge Productions. From art directing to designing for title sequences, boardroom GUIs, musicians & nation-wide scale projects, He is one of few artists given huge responsibilities at a very young age.
In 2011, he was put on Singapore’s first ever multi-platform for raging artists, THEM.SG. His work for METAL STARGAZER, an event curated under the direction of Co-Founder of Phunk Studio, Alvin Tan, took his work to another level. It wasn’t long after when Chris Do from BL:ND took him in as an intern.
Currently serving as full-time militia in the Singapore Armed Forces, he sets his vision to fulfill his two years of service and set shores on the beautiful California once again. He strives to further his background in the near future none other than at Los Angeles.
