PDFA: Partnership For A Drug Free America
In the war on drugs, it’s become increasingly difficult to reach a jaded and desensitized audience. So when Ground Zero producer, Randy Morton, called about a cool PSA that required a unique type solution to represent a “thought bubble”, Blind Executive Creative Director, Chris Do and the Blind team jumped on the challenge. “Most of what we do is in service of large corporations. It’s nice to work on something that can make a difference,”says Do. The Blind team worked on a variety of type executions before settling in on the final direction– one where the letterforms are seemingly built from the drug in question. All companies involved, including Go Film, Ashe and Spencer and Cut + Run contributed time and resources to building this memorable spot.
The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a private, non-profit organization that unites communications professionals, renowned scientists and parents in the mission to reduce illicit drug abuse in America. Drugfree.org is a drug abuse prevention and treatment resource, existing to help parents and caregivers effectively address alcohol and drug abuse with their children.
